Predictions for Around the World in 80 Games in 2025

The whole basis of this blog is to act as a lifestyle blog that shares my personal experiences and stories, showcasing both the worlds of gaming and traveling—even how they collide to create something new. Since this blog just recently started in early 2025, we still have the whole year full of potential.

1. More firsthand stories.

My first prediction is that I might transition this blog into a more journal-based one. I could go deeper into the stories I share, maybe more personal ones too. Treating this like a literal journal doesn’t have to mean making it informal, but maybe this can provide readers with a more personal feel—a way they can truly imagine my experiences.

2. Video content.

Blog posts filled with pictures and text are great, but we can take it to the next level by introducing video blogs—vlogs, you could say. Instead of just showing pictures and describing what I see or experience, you could join me in video form and see it for yourself.

3. Meeting more gamers.

I could collaborate with other people who share similar backgrounds as me—connecting with local gaming communities, other esports pros, and fellow travelers who have a passion for gaming. Being more community-driven is something Around the World in 80 Games is aiming for.

We’re only at the start of 2025, and there’s still so much ahead for Around the World in 80 Games. I can't wait to share this journey with you guys and see where gaming takes me next.

In traditional sports such as football or basketball, to view these games in person or even online with a streaming service costs money. So, the hypothetical question that lies here is, what if you had to pay to watch esports? If esports moved behind a paywall, would it have a positive or negative effect on the overall industry?
