  What Are Esports Scholarships? Esports scholarships are similar to the mainstream athletic scholarship, where it acts as a financial aid program offered by colleges to skilled athletes who are able to compete in varsity-level teams. These scholarships function similarly to the traditional scholarships, where they cover tuition, housing, dining, or any other educational expenses in exchange for a student to compete under the school and maintain the student's academic level.
